Observatii
Insulele Azore, la fel ca Madeira constutuie o destinatie de vacanta activa. Nu este indicata celor care prefera genul de vacanta all inclusive, cu plaja nisipoasa la doar cateva sute de metri de hotel, cu program de entertainment la hotel si mancare pe saturate. Este o destinatie exotica, are o flora si un rellief neobinuit noua, tot acolo sunt singurele plantatii de ananas si de ceai din Europa. Se adreseaza iubitorilor de excursii, celor care vor sa descopere lucruri noi, deosebite de ceea ce au vazut pana atunci. Amplasarea lor departe de tarm, la 1500 km si faptul ca sunt relativ departe una de cealalta, face un pic dificil si accesul si vizitarea. Insulele sunt legate intre ele prin trasee maritime, sunt ferry ce circula intre acestea si de asemenea prin linii aeriene. In tariful de excursie este inclus zborul intre Sao Miguel si Terceira, iar intre Terceira si Pico o sa calatorim cu ferry sau cu o ambarcatiune inchiriata.
Program Azore
Ziua 1 6.06 Zbor Blue Air OB157 Bucuresti - Lisabona. Decolare la 07:15 aterizare 09:55 (ora Portugaliei). Durata zbor: 04h40'. Ajungem dimineata, ceea ce ne va da posibilitatea ca dupa depunerea bagajelor in cloackroom-ul hotelului sa vizitam impreuna cele mai importante puncte din oras.
Ziua 2 7.06 Dimineata 8.30 cu check out facut, in hol hotel, taxi la aerport. Zbor TAP Portugal TP1867 decolare 11.35 la 13.00 aterizam pe insula Sao Miguel, la Ponta Delgada. Taxi pana la hotel, check in si apoi iesim la o plimbare in zona centrala a orasului, unde vom servi si masa. Pana la ora 19.00 trebuie sa iau microbuzul di port (atunci se inchide biroul)
Ziua 3 8.06 Dupa micul dejun la ora 9.00 urcam in microbuzul inchiriat si mergem sa vizitam o plantatie de ananas, pe Rua Sao Joao de Deus. Apoi traseul de vizitare al zilei va fi: Pisao view point - Vila Franca do Campo si insula Vila Franca (unde va propun si o baie intr-una din zile) - Senora da Paz Mirador - Lacurile Furnas si Izvoarele calde - apoi satul Furnas (o sa parcam pe avenida Arraga) si mancam cozido la Tony's. De vizitat Parque Terra Nostra, o zona verde cu vegetatie luxurianta. De la Furnas ne intoarcem un pic sa vedem Pico de Ferro view point, apoi pe un drum secundar spre Sao Bras si inainte de a ajunge acolo bem un ceai adevarat, la singura plantatie de ceai verde din Europa, Cha Gorreana. Continuam cu Achada, vedem in drum cascada Nordeste si ajungem la mirador Ponta di Mandraguda. Trecand doar prin Provoacao si Ribeira Quente, in jur de 21.00 ajungem la hotel, in Ponta Delgada. Total zi 200 km, o multime de locuri exceptionale, la care o sa oprim sa ne bucuram de imagini, sa fotografiem.
Ziua 4 9.06 Costumele de baie, slapi si prosoape toata lumea! Ora 9.00 imbarcare in microbuz plecam la Lagoa do Fogo, apoi urmatoarea noastra oprire va fi Ribeira Grande. Vizitam acolo Fabrica de lichior, Rua do Estrela - Rua Praca si plecam spre Caldeira Velha. Directia este Rabo de Pexe. In drum, dupa o curba gasim poate cea mai interesanta gradina exotica de pe insule, acolo plantele incalzite de izvoare termale ajungand la dimensiuni uriase. Putem face si o baie in lacul de la cascada, ne uscam si luam directia Rabo de Pexe - Ferral da Luz - Capelas - viewpoint - San Antonio. Mergem sa vedem Sete Citades spre interior, un loc absolut fantastic, o sa si coboram apoi, traversam pe podul dintre lacuri si luam directia Mosteiros. Acolo sunt mai multe piscine naturale, se poate inota daca apa va fi...cat de cat buna. Ne intoarcem spre Ponta do Ferraria si de acolo direct spre Ponta Delgada, la hotel. Masa de pranz undeva pe drum, cel mai probabil la Mosteiros.
Ziua 5 10.06 Este o zi cu program free. Ce va propun pt prima parte a zilei, asta daca timpul este bun si apa potrivita pt baie: sa mergem impreuna pana la Villa Franca si sa ne asezam de dimineata frumos la rand sa trecem cu o ambarcatiune pana pe insula rezervatie Villa Franca. Este spectaculos. Practic o sa facem baie intr-un crater vulcanic. Fiind rezervatie doar 400 pers/zi sunt admise pe micuta insula...La intoarcere avem ocazia sa mancam la un restaurant din micutul golf, unul in care se pregatesc cele mai bune preparate de peste si fructe de mare. Dupa amiaza o sa ne-o petrecem in Ponta Delgada.
Ziua 6 11.06 Check out, intalnire in hol hotel - taxi si mergem la aeroport. Zbor SATA numar SP 454 Ponta Delgada 14.00 - Lajes, Terceira. Aterizam la Lajes la ora 14.40 la 25 km de Agra do Heroisimo, capitala si locul in care vom fi cazati. Vom inchiria un microbuz care o sa ne ramana 2 zile, pt a vizita insula. Imbarcam bagajele si in drum spre hotel incepem vizitarea insulei cu grota Algarve, lago Negro si apoi cea mai frumoasa panorama de pe insula. Ajungem la hotel spre seara. Luam masa in apropiere, intr-un local familial.
Ziua 7 12.06 Continuam vizitarea insulei Terceira cu microbuzul, urcam si la panorama de pe Monte Brasil. Ajungem spre seara...
Ziua 8 13.06 Ora 7.30 in holul hotelului. Haine de ploaie, de vant, ceva mai gros pentru seara. Rucsac cu apa, sandviciuri. Traversam cu o ambarcatiune de whale watching la Madalena, pe insula Pico. Din port luam un microbuz inchiriat, cu care vom face un tur al insulei, cu final spre varful Pico, cel mai inalt din intreaga Portugalie. Vom vizita culturile de vita de vie, sunt cu totul speciale si particulare, adaptate zonei. In traseul nostru vom vedea ochiurile de apa dulce ce impanzesc insula...Cel mai faimos bar din Portugalia...
Ziua 8 14.06 Free time. Hotelul in care stam, este pe malul oceanului, are o pozitie fantastica, putem face o baie in piscina sau cei mai curajosi direct in ocean...Vizitam si orasul, unul dintre cele mai pitoresti pe care le-am vazut pana acum...
Ziua 9 marti 15.06 Este cea de plecare. Luam un microbuz inchiriat in regim de taxi, costa cca 7 EUR/persoana pana la aeroport. Zbor TAP Portugal TP1822 decolare la ora 12.10, la 15.25 ajungem la Lisabona. Predam bagajele, costa cca 5 EUR/troller si iesim in oras in zona Oriente. La 23.00 avem zbor Blue Air ajungem la Bucuresti, pe Otopeni la 5.10 (ora Romaniei).
Ca reper va dau cateva costuri:
- intrare grota Terceira 5 EUR
- intrare Caldeira Velha 2 EUR
- traversare cu ambarcatiune inchiriata dedicat pt grup Terceira - Pico 1000 EUR/9 persoane - daca toata lumea traverseaza in acest fel.
- o masa costa in Azore cca 12 EUR
Inchiriere microbuze pe insule. in care intra consumul de carburant: 170 EUR/persoana - daca toata lumea va participa la excursiile pe insule. Programul de vizitare cu microbuzul include:

Cu ce am primit pana acum, la nici 24 de ore de la postarea detaliilor despre excursie, am ajuns cu inscrierile la nivelul de 8 locuri prerezervate. Inscrierile pe Email pot continua, dar din acest moment nu mai pot promite ca se prinde un loc...Samiza va incepe transmiterea facturilor in ordinea inscrierilor si doar in situatia in care cineva dintre cei care ne-au transmis optiunea de participare nu confirma mergem mai departe...

S-a transmis un Email de rezervare catre toti cei 8 pre-inscrisi. Daca a aparut vreo renuntare va rog sa ma informati, pt a redeschide inscrierile.

Locurile sunt toate ocupate, nu produ panica MVM! :) Renuntarile au fost inainte de a inchide rezervarile. Acum toata lumea are achitat avansul, zborul platit, este doar o chestiune de timp pana plecam...Grupul e complet! :)

Ne apropiem si de aceasta excursie si pentru ca revin din Italia cu doar cateva zile inainte de plecarea spre insule, am tinut sa va scriu de acum cateva lucruri.
In primul rand despre buget, asta pentru a stii cam la ce costuri suplimentare sa va asteptati. Sunt postate dar le reiau detaliate, incepand cu cele de pe lista de "neincluse in tariful de excursie":
asigurarea medicala - banuiesc ca v-ati facut-o deja, deci nu o sa mai fie alt cost
taxa de oras la hoteluri - exista orase care impun o taxa individuala de statiune, care se incaseaza de catre hotelurile la care se face cazarea. Este de cca 1.5 EUR/zi.
mesele de pranz si cina. Considerati cel putin un fel de mancare calda pe zi, cu o bautura langa costa in jur de 12 EUR. Uneori mai mancam si doar fructe, sau ceva rece in drum, dar parerea mea este sa luati in calcul 25 EUR/zi.
costurile legate de excursiile pe insule (o sa se procedeze la fel ca in 2015, inchiriere microbuz 8 + 1 si costurile au sa fie impartite intre participanti - este cea mai ieftina solutie de vizitare a insulelor) - 170 EUR/persoana (daca toata lumea participa). tarif traversare cu ambarcatiune whale watching de pe insula Terceira pe insula Pico (1000 EUR/grup, dus si intors). Deci daca toata lumea merge si nu cred sa fie cineva sa rateze poate cea mai frumoasa si mai interesanta zi, costul este 1000/9 = 111 EUR/persoana
tarif "inot cu delfinii" in ocean - cca 50 EUR (optional). Aici e o discutie. Suna foarte interesant, foarte atractiv, biologul care organizeaza aceasta iesire pe mare este profesionist si responsabil. Vi se da costume de izopren, deci temperatura apei nu conteaza. Apoi cu barca cu care se merge, o ambarcatiune usoara de tip Zodiac, permite apropierea de delfini, dar din pacate sunt rare momentele in care se poate inota alaturi de delfini. Acestia sunt salbatici, totul are loc in ocean, nu intr-un delfinarium, ori biologul cantareste foarte bine daca grupul de delfini este pasnic, sau nu. Prezenta unui pui in grup poate genera protectie si nu o sa permita persoane in jurul lor. In general aceste excursii raman doar cu partea de watching. Foarte interesanta de altfel, dar pentru ca nu vreau sa dezamagesc pe nimeni care are asteptare 100% de inotat cu delfinii, am tinut sa va explic corect cum stau lucrurile.
intrarile la obiective. Nu avem multe obiective pe interior, ne bucuram de peisaje, de apa, de asezarile miniaturale de pe insula. Luati in calcul doar 20 - 25 EUR.

Hai sa facem un calcul: 1.5x7 (daca se cere) + 25x7 + 5 + 5 + 111 (daca merge toata lumea, daca nu tariful/persoana va creste) +25 =cca 325 EUR
La asta mai adaugati cheltuielile de impuls, un suc, o cafea (este foarte ieftina 0.8 - 1 EUR), dulciuri, fructe. Stiu eu, cca 25 EUR.
Deci un buget, fara cheltuielile de amintiri si cadouri = 350 EUR.
Bagaj. O sa calatorim la un moment dat cu microbuz de 8+1. Nu este foarte generos la portnagaj, asa ca limitati-va la un troler de 60 -45-30.
De luat in bagaj
- pantofi trekking, cel putin incaltaminte sport. Luati si de schimb, in situatia in care va udati sa aveti de schimb.
- pantalon lung elastic, pantalon scurt
- tricouri
- bluze de vant cu gluga, pentru traversarea dintre insule. Recomand ceva termic de vara.
- sapca, bandana, crema solara
- slapi, costul de baie
- medicamente pe care le luati frecvent + claritin sau ceva asemanator. Veti intra in contact cu flori la care nu va cunoasteti gradul de imunitate.
- aparat foto, carduri de memorie, acumulatori, incarcatoare
- rucsac mic in care sa va incapa o pelerina, apa, un prosop.
Temperatura - o sa fie 17 - 22 grade. Atentie ca insulele sunt in general umede. In perioada in care mergem noi minim fata de altele ale anului, dar trebuie sa tineti cont atunci cand va faceti bagajul sa aveti cu voi haine si incaltaminte potrivita. Pelerina comoda, nu genul de unica folosinta, ceva care sa va fereasca de o eventuala ploaie. Acolo ploua scurt dar masiv. Destul 10 minute de ploaie si sunteti uzi pana la piele si din pacate nu aveti cum si cu ce sa va schimbati. Va ajuta un prosop si o pelerina care nu trebuie sa lipseasca niciunele din rucsacul zilnic.
Documente de calatorie
Eu va recomand sa aveti la voi atat cartea de identitate cat si pasaportul, pe care sa-l tineti separat. In situatia in care pierdeti CI sa aveti un document care sa va permita sa parasiti tara. Sunteti pe insula si este destul de greu sa comunicati cu consulatul roman pentru un document temporar de calatorie. Valabilitatea trebuie sa fie minima 6 luni de zile.
Marti 6 iunie, ora 5.00, intalnirea pe Aeroportul Henri Coanda, Plecari Internationale, langa cafeneaua Lavazza. Zbor Blue Air OB157 Bucuresti - Lisabona. Decolare la 07:15 aterizare 09:55 (ora Portugaliei). Durata zbor: 04h40'. Va recomand sa aveti in bagajul de mana sandviciuri (va este permis la verificare), biscuiti, orice va astampara foamea pana in jur de 14.00. Programul nostru incepe imediat, dupa aterizare luam un taxi pana la hotel, lasam bagajele si plecam in zona Belem. Acolo vizitam Manastirea Ieronimilor, Turnul Belem, Monumentul Descoperitorilor, Palatul Presedintelui si doar in jur de ora 14.00 ajungem la Pasteis de Nata, celebrele specialitati cu foetaj. Deci sa aveti ceva pana la acea ora, sa nu intrerupem programul din cauza foamei...

In aeroport astept la intalnire pentru plecare doar 5 persoane. Cu ceilalti 3 ne vom intalni direct la Lisabona. Eu am telefonul deschis, numarul este 0040745106501 (dar sunt convins ca il aveti) ma sunati cand ajungeti in Lisabona.

Abia astept! Ma uitam zilele trecute pe pozele din Portugalia 2015 si mi-am amintit de Lisabona. Mi-am dorit mult sa ma intorc acolo si s-o revad pe batrana doamna, pentru cladirile si istoria acelor locuri, pentru aerul oceanului si podurile peste Teju, pentru ilustrativele azulejos si pentru decorativele trotuarele pavate manual cu bazalt si calcar, pentru pasteis, bacalhau, ginja si nu mai spun de fado :smitten: Si aceasta vizita va fi doar escala de unde ne luam zborul a doua zi spre... Paradis! :D

Acum cateva minute m-am trezit. Dupa...16 ore de somn...Ciudat...am inca sentimentul ca sunt in mijlocul acelei mari de verde, ca strabat drumurile insotite de buchete uriase de flori...Asta poate pentru ca gradina si casa m-au intampinat cu cateva surprize florale! Ma simt...azorean!

Vreau sa va povestesc cat mai multe despre Azore, despre ce am vazut, despre ce am simtit... Dar ca de obicei, timpul meu intre excursii este foarte scurt, am doar putin la dispozitie pentru asta...
Am facut...record! - 4.600 de fotografii, asta desi ajung acolo, in insulele Azore, pentru a 3-a oara si mai am in jur de 7.000 de imagini luate din paradisul verde! Simt ca sunt tot mai indragostit de acele locuri, imi plac tot mai mult, asa ca abia astept...sa ma intorc! In calendarul de anul viitor, 2018, o sa se gaseasca din nou, "Vacanta in paradisul verde al Insulelor Azore". Perioada: 15 - 24 iunie. Si pentru ca multi dintre voi mi-ati cerut reluarea excursiei din Portugalia, anul viitor, intre 2 - 10 iulie o sa avem un circuit + sejur. Inca nu stiu daca sejurul va fi la Cascais sau in Algarve, urmeaza ca in zilele urmatoare sa ma decid, dar aceasta se va tine cu siguranta...Adaugand Madeira, in 2018 vom avea 3 excursii in acea minunata tara!
Azorele este raiul pentru indragostiti de natura. Un loc atat de curat, atat de bine conservat, intretinut, incat si doar cu asta iti relaxezi mintea...Iar cand incepi sa strabati fiecare dintre insule simti o bucurie pe care cuvintele nu o pot descrie...Repet: daca esti un indragostit de natura. Pentru ca daca esti un turist caruia ii place confortul resorturilor all inclusiv, plajele largi si nisipoase, tolaneala nesfarsita la soare, leneveala intr-un sezlong la soare, atunci NU! - nu aveti ce cauta in insulele Azore! Este o vacanta activa, in care calatoresti in fiecare zi, de dimineata pana seara, cobori de zeci de ori din masina pentru a admira panoramele, drumetesti, plutesti pe apa in ambarcatiuni usoare - lipsite evident de confortul unui ferry de zeci de metri lungime si latime...Vei simti valurile, vei trece peste cei 4.000 de metri adancime de apa, impreuna doar cu 12 oameni...echipajul de 4, plus 8 prieteni. Momentele acestea de izolare in mijlocul oceanului te leaga, este imposibil sa nu ai sentimentul de apropiere fata de cei cu care aluneci pe apa...Si ce poate fi mai minunat decat sa vezi balenele inotand in jurul tau, delfinii jucausi, apusul de soare pe mare, siajul colorat de mii de scantei...
Am sa incep povestea cu Lisabona, acolo unde ne-am petrecut prima zi si noapte...in drumul nostru spre insule.

Dupa 4 ore de zbor, de pe aeroportul din Bucuresti, ajungeam la Lisabona, capitala Portugaliei. "Batrana Doamna" ne-a intampinat cu o vreme frumoasa, erau in jur de 30 de grade si doar cativa norisori...Numai bine de plimbare. Asa ca dupa ce am lasat bagajele la hotel am plecat spre Belem.

Dupa o seara minunata de Fado, o noapte odihnitoare la Lisabona si apoi dimineata zbor catre insule. Prima destinatie, Ponta Delgada, insula Sao Miguel. Cea mai mare, cea mai importanta, sediul presedentiei arhipelagului. Un zbor linistit de cca 2 ore si jumatate, timpul a trecut usor, asa ca odata ne-am vazut pe aeroportul de destinatie. De acolo cu un taxi am ajuns imediat la hotel...Acolo o surpriza placuta, desi era devreme, pentru o parte din grup s-a putut face check in-ul. Am lasat bagajele si am plecat in "explorare"...Pe stradutele inguste, frumos pavate, pana in pitorescul centru al orasului, la Poarta cu Trei Arce.

A urmat un free time, in care fiecare a ales ce sa faca. Cu o parte din grup am mancat la un local din centru, cea mai gustoasa friptura de vita pe care tin minte sa o fi primit vreodata la un restaurant. Si nu doar foarte buna, ci si imensa...

Dupa un asa ospat, era foarte indicata o miscare, asa ca hai cu totii la piata! Un loc in care gasesti de toate: fructe, legume, carne, peste, branzeturi...Chiar si bulbi de flori...Cativa tocmai au poposit acasa, peste ocean, in ghivece...Imi fac un colt de Azore aici...

La Ponta Delgada exista multe sere in care se cultiva ananasul, unul exceptional de savuros si de bun, nu seamana deloc cu ceea ce se mananca din supermarket-uri...Pretul insa este pe masura; daca in mod obisnuit kg de ananas costa 1 EUR/kg, acolo costa 4.5 EUR/kg. Dar merita pe deplin!

Pe insula sunt multe plantatii si de banane, un soi care seamana cu cele din Madeira. Desi localnicii isi lauda marfa spunand ca este mai buna decat cea de pe insula florilor, totusi gustul e departe sa se apropie cu ceea ce creste in Madeira...Oricum sunt mult mult mai bune decat cele ce se gasesc la noi...

Pregatisem sa duc grupul la un local pe care il descoperisem anul trecut in Logoa, A Trainera. Am mancat acolo un peste excelent si doream sa ofer aceiasi posibilitate si celor de anul acesta...Doar ca era inchis...Asa ca am cautat si tot in jur am gasit un local, recomandat de niste nemti, O Alambique. Excelent! Toata lumea a fost incantata...Eu, dupa friptura aceea imensa de la amiaza, m-am resemnat doar cu o felie de ananas de Azore...
Dupa masa, as fi vrut sa mai continuam un pic excursia, inca nu se innoptase de tot...dar am vazut ca lumea e obosita si la prima panorama am intors spre hotel. Ne asteptau 12 km si un somn asteptat de toata lumea...

Sa-mi continui povestea... :) Cu cea de-a treia zi, una foarte foarte lunga, cu o multime de locuri minunate...
Tururile de insule le-am facut cu microbuze, pe fiecare am avut pregatit cate unul...Am impartit ce era de vazut pe zile, asa am putut parcurge in intregime Sao Miguel, Terceira si Pico. Natura insa nu se lasa intotdeauna pe deplin dezvaluita, pe langa foarte multe momente de contemplare a minunatiilor de la CurteaLuiVerdeImparat, am avut si mici deceptii...Norii care se misca incoace si incolo acopera uneori zonele de panorama si te trezesti ca dupa ce urci si strabati km buni, esti inconjurat doar de o ceata densa si laptoasa...Si nu vezi nimic din ce-ti doreai...Asa am ratat in aceasta excursie doua locuri pe care as fi vrut mult sa vi le arat: Lacul de Foc de pe Sao Miguel si Lacurile Dulci din craterele vulcanice de pe insula Pico. Din pacate nu am mai avut cum sa ne intoarcem sa incercam din nou...
Dar ne-au ramas atat de multe lucruri extraordinare de vazut incat au fost uitate repede cele doua mici deceptii...
Totul incepea dimineata, cu intalnirea de la ora 9.00 in holul hotelului. Ne imbarcam in microbuz si urmam traseele pregatite...La fiecare loc de panorama, oriunde vedeam ceva deosebit (pentru ca frumos e totul), opream. Coboram, ne plimbam, admiram, fotografiam. Asa s-a intamplat in fiecare zi, chiar si in cea free...in care nimeni nu s-a indurat sa mearga la piscina...toti au preferat sa ma insoteasca, sa vedem impreuna si alte lucruri.
Imi amintesc de aceasta zi. M-am trezit, am iesit pe balconul camerei si am privit spre ocean...Vremea parea buna pentru calatoria noastra de o zi, asa ca m-am incarcat cu incredere si nerabdarea de a porni la drum...

Si am plecat...Prima oprire a fost la o panorama, pe care cei care au mai fost cu mine in Azore o recunosc imediat. Este de fapt locul de plecare, locul in care lumea sa "incalzeste" cu ce va avea de vazut...

Urmatorul obiectiv este unul dintre cele mai frumoase locuri de pe insula: Vila Franca. O mica insula vulcanica in craterul careia s-a format o piscina naturala. Maxim 400 de persoane pe zi pot ajunge acolo, se incearca protejarea acelei zone. Ambarcatiuni transporta doritorii de inedit, baie si plaja, din port pana la insulita. Noi am oprit intr-un loc de panorama a acesteia, a urmat o plimbare pe covorul moale si adanc de iarba...Era o dimineata minunata si asta se vedea pe fetele tuturor...

Sunt acolo, langa locul nostru de plimbare 2 case. Cu o priveliste de vis. Am povestit anii trecuti cu unul dintre proprietari. Pensionari dintr-o tara nordica, veniti aici in paradisul verde sa-si petreaca batranetile, la marginea oceanului, la mii de km de casa.

Se apropia ora de masa si am zis hai sa va arat unde ni se pregateste mancarea. Este unul dintre cele mai inedite moduri de gatit pe care l-am vazut vreodata...In desertul Sahara am vazut cum se coace painea in carbune si nisip, aici cum se fierbe un preparat numit Cozinha de Furnas, in oale imersate in gropi sapate intr-o zona cu activitate vulcanica de suprafata. Aburul fierbinte coace legumele si fierbe carnea, rezultand un fel de tajin. Nu atat de gustos, dar interesant de gustat.
Fiecare restaurant are locul lui de gatire, se introduce oala inchisa si impachetata perfect, se astupa cu nisip si se lasa 2 ore. Dupa care, in prezenta unui reprezentant al parcului national, scoate oala, o incarca intr-o masina si intr-o fuga ajunge la restaurant, unde se portioneaza si apoi ofera clientilor. La Tony's acolo unde mergem noi in fiecare an, local e mereu plin...Contra a 14 EUR, primesti o portie imensa, apa, vin, un desert si o cafea...

Dupa masa, o plimbare intr-un loc feeric: Parcul Terra Nostra. Aflat in extensia hotelului cu acelasi nume (frate cu cel in care am stat la Ponta Delgada), cautat pentru apa termala ce izvoraste aici, acest colt de rai are o peisagistica ce-ti taie respiratia. Mii de specii de arbori, arbusti, flori...Lacuri cu nuferi, poiene invelite luxuriant in ferigi uriase, filodendron giganti...Poteci umbrite de cedrii seculari, de specii de arbori necunoscute noua europenilor. Au fost adusi din Noua Zeelanda, Australia, Japonia, Indonezia si au gasit aici un loc prielnic, asa ca au crescut la dimensiuni impresionante.
Ne-am bucurat pret de doua ore de o plimbare prin acest parc, admirand, fotografiind fiecare coltisor...Este o adevarata minune, nu stiu cati dintre noi au mai pasit vreodata printr-o padure de camelii, care s-au mai bucurat de umbra unui pom de Craciun din Noua Zeelanda...Biletul de intrare nu este tocmai ieftin, surprind de fiecare data expresia fetelor celor cu care merg si realizez mirarea cand li se cere 8 EUR pentru a vizita un parc...Dar la iesire ii vad pe toti atat de incantati incat imi dau seama ca nimanui nu-i pare rau si nu regreta cei 8 EUR...

Acolo am urmarit, la fabrica, un filmulet explicativ al modului in care se planteaza si se recolteaza ceaiul, cum se prepara pentru conservare cel verde si cel negru si un istoric al locului. Am gustat cate un ceai, se ofera gratuit de catre gazde, am facut cumparaturi si am plecat mai departe. Ne astepta inca drum lung pana acasa si multe alte locuri frumoase...

Pe soseaua litorala de nord, inca un mirador. Minunata priveliste de acolo. Si remarcabil cum este ingrijit. Oamenii aceia chiar isi iubesc insula, fac sa arate mai frumos decat ar fi ea salbatica. Peste tot vezi oameni muncind, aranjand, plantand. Uimitor cum comunitati atat de mici pot intretine atat de bine zone atat de intinse. Dar o fac, spre norocul nostru...
M-am intrebat adesea ce resort, ce motivatie exista pentru ca oamenii sa faca ceva pentru comunitate, nu doar pentru ei. Si cel mai adesea imi exprim nedumerirea acolo, in Azore. Poate ca explicatia sta in biserica, in modul in care functioneaza aceasta instututie acolo. Am promis ca pe acest forum nu discutam despre religie si politica. Pentru ca sunt subiecte sensibile, duc la partizanat si contradictii extreme. Dar nu ma pot abtine, asa ca fac cateva remarci personale. Subliniez, personale :) ...
Ce face acolo biserica, iar la noi nu vad asta? Pai in primul rand nu cheltuie banii colectati de la enoriasi, pe opulenta. Totul este decent acolo, de la decoratii, pana la ritualuri, hainele preotilor...Asta nu inseamna ca nu e frumos, ba este chiar minunat un interior de biserica. Dar nu are poleiala aceea fastuoasa, nu are incarcatura aceea care inca nu am inteles la ce ajuta, intr-un lacas al Domnului. Slujbele sunt scurte, ritualurile de asemena, nu plictisesc lumea, nu tin oamenii ore in sir in picioare...Se canta, toata lumea participa la asta, este un cor urias care dezvolta un aer colectiv pozitiv. Sunt catolici, dar am vazut cand stateam in Cambridge ceva asemenator si la anglicani. Asa ca este o stare ce transcede, nu e proprie unui anumit cult.
Sunt multe sarbatori care se muta din biserica in strada. Se inchid zone transformandu-se in pietonal, se orneaza, lumea scoate mesele din casa, se prepara mancare, vin muzicanti, se danseaza. Sunt zeci de astfel de zile pe an. Asta strange comunitatile, le face sa se cunoasca mai bine, sa interactioneze. Se fac tombole, licitatii, se strang bani pentru alte festivitati. Nu exista pomelnice, banii nu sunt bagati in rama icoanelor, nu exista preoti care sa ceara pentru orice serviciu ceva...Ei nici nu pun mana pe bani. Comitetele bisericesti, cele care au grija si intretin imperios (am sa scriu despre acestea intr-u articol), sunt cele care incaseaza, dramuiesc banii impartindu-i pe nevoi...Biserica imi pare rau sa spun pentru ca sunt ortodox, dar este sociala, nu habotnica ca la noi. Exista si elementul religios, ritul, dar are o alta forma...
Asa cred eu, ca micile comunitati de acolo sunt motivate de biserica sa socializeze, sa-si intretina zonele, sa fie mandre de ele...
Pe tot parcursul drumurilor intalnesti locuri de popas atat de curate, atat de frumoase, de intretinute incat iti vine sa te opresti la fiecare. Au parc, au loc de umbra, gratare, mese, loc de promenda, toalete, apa curenta...In week-end lumea iese la picnic in acele locuri, se intalneste, mananca impreuna, petrec pana noaptea tarziu. Se intorc apoi fiecare la casele lor. Lasand totul intr-o ordine si curatenie deplina in urma...M-am resemnat demult ca o sa vad asa ceva in tara noastra...desi mi-as fi dorit atat de mult!

Asa s-a incheiat aceasta zi extraordinara, cu speranta ca in urmatoarea vom avea parte de aceiasi vreme buna...

O noua dimineata in ParadisulVerde, o noua zi de explorare a insulei Sao Miguel...Imbarcati in microbuz, cu speranta ca vremea nu va fi asa de rea cum se pronoza, am pornit catre Ribeira Grande...Acum cinstit sa fiu, la momentul in care am vazut norii aceia grei deasupra centrului insulei, m-am nelinistit teribil. Nu stiam cum sa invart programul astfel incat sa va pot arata ceva...La Sete Citades, cele doua lacuri fermecate era exclus, din cauza cetii nu am fi vazut nimic, la Caldheira Velha, nu se putea merge pentru baie in cascada de apa termala pentru ca era inca racoare, la Mosteiros nici atat - am fi vazut doar valurile trantindu-se de stanci...Am incercat intai o panorama la Logoa de Fogo, dar nici o sansa sa vedem ceva, totul era in "lapte"...Am coborat la Caldheira, nu era inca nimeni acolo, nu mi-a venit sa duc grupul pe racoare acolo...Asa ca am continuat drumul pana la Ribeira Grande, cu oprire la Fabrica de lichior. S-a dovedit cea mai buna solutie, se pare ca degustarea de lichior din fructul pasiunii, a facut loc optimismului si iesiti de acolo am parcurs intreg itinerariul pe care il aveam schitat, vizitand si vazand tot ce mi-am propus...
La fabrica prima impresie ti-o face curtea si gradina, exceptional aranjate, cu o multime de plante exotice, cu plantatie de cafea, piper, agave si evident, fructul pasiunii.

Dupa vizitarea fabricii si a gradinii am plecat spre centrul satului, aflat la doar cateva sute de metri. O plimbare pana la malul oceanului, admirand podul cu arce, turnul, biserica, teatrul. O localitate cocheta, ca toate cele de pe insula, curata, aranjata...

Am ajuns la Sete Citades, cele doua lacuri gemene. Unul verde si unul albastru. Era insa ceata si de pe Vista de Rei nu am putut vedea mare lucru. Dar ne-am bucurat de privelistea de pe lac si apoi noroc maxim la intoarcere, am vazut din alt punct de panorama ansamblul celor doua lacuri.

In drum spre hotel am mai oprit la o panorama, cea asupra orasului si in special a aeroportului, nimic insa spectaculos...Asa ca trec peste...Urmand sa va povestesc despre ziua urmatoare...

Urmatoarea zi era free...Adica fiecare urma sa-si aleaga ce doreste sa faca. Plimbare, inot cu delfinii, relaxare la piscina, plaja...Aproape toti au ales sa faca acelasi lucru: sa mergem impreuna, sa vedem Ponta Delgada. Asa ca haide la plimbare!
Era sarbatoare, o fanfara se pregatea sa plece spre primarie, acolo unde urma o festivitate. Ne-am luat si noi dupa ei:

Remarcabil respectul fata de drapel, imn, un moment de pretuire, dar fara pretiozitatea si festivismul cu care suntem noi obisnuiti.
Am plecat mai departe. Orasul, care adaposteste aproape jumatate din populatia celor 9 insule este in deplina armonie cu natura. Arhitectura baroca, totul zugravit in alb cu ancadramente gri, spatiile verzi, micile gradini din fata caselor, toate astea sunt perfect in echilibru cu ceea ce este in jurul orasului. Verdele este intuit, il simti din strada...Stii ca este acolo, la granita dintre om si natura...Minunat loc! Absolut superb!

O leguma cultivata pe insula, despre care pana in Azore nu am stiut ca exista. Se numeste inhame. Are un gust usor dulce si seamana ca textura cu cartoful, dar este mai moale.

Cherimoya, rodul unui copac vesnic verde sunt considerate a fi mere in forma de inima. Textura exterioara nu poate fi consumata deoarece are un gust neplacut. Pentru a putea fi consumat, fructul trebuie sa fie moale, iar coaja ar trebui sa aiba o culoare verde inchis spre maro. Adica asa cum sunt cele din fotografie.

Omul acesta din fotografie este cel mai bun exemplu pentru cum ceva simplu se poate face temeinic si atent. Are un stand in piata unde prepara sandviciuri si sucuri de fructe. Cu atata atentie insa, totul este decorat, aranjat si servit cu mare arta. Are niste covorase asezate pe o margine betonata, niste masute improvizate din lazi. Totul este superigienic si ingrijit, am vazut cum multa lume buna merge sa serveasca un fel de mic dejun la el. Are facebook, tripadviser, el este imbracat imepcabil, de la incaltamintea New Balance, pana la tricoul de calitate.

Dupa o plimbare in care am strabatut aproape tot orasul pe jos, am ajuns la Faja Baixo, un fel de suburbie, pentru a vedea o plantatie de ananas.In care am inteles cat de costisitor, cu cata munca si efort de obtine fructul. Dupa 2 an de la plantarea primului lastar.

File de rechin. Apele Atlanticului sunt pline de rechini in acea zona, doar ca nu s-a intamplat niciodata sa atace vreun om. Explicatia am gasit-o la un biolog marin cu care am traversat din Terceira pe Pico. Este vorba de confuzia pe care o fac rechinii din zonele in care se hrabesc cu foci, intre mancarea lor favorita si un om aflat in inot. In Azore nu exista foci, deci rechinii nu au acest gen de tinta. Se pot face scufundari cu aceste temute vietuitoare, fara nici cel mai mic risc. Am vazut cateva filmulete pe fb lui Joao, in care inota impreuna cu acestia...

A venit si ultima zi pe insula Sao Miguel. Urma sa ne mutam pe alta insula, Terceira, s-o exploram si pe aceasta. Pana la zbor erau ceva ore bune si asa cum planuisem de seara, dimineata eram in port, pentru a pleca la...pescuit oceanic! Un suedez simpatic ne atrasese cu oferta lui, cu 300 EUR, 8 persoane/4 ore de pescuit + prepararea pestelui prins intr-un local de pe faleza.

Gazda noastra, un suedez naturalizat in Azore...
Imbarcarea pe Cachalot, si gata! - plini de speranta catre locul de pescuit. In 30 minute eram undeva in largul aeroportului si Mike, matelotul, ne inmana betele. Momeala...fructe de mare, calamari si creveti. Adancimea cca 20 de metri. Pe sonar suedezul vazuse bancul asa ca, gandeam eu, succesul o sa fie sigur. Aveam experienta din Croatia, cu Rino, unde in 2 ore prindeam 20 de dorade...Uitasem un singur lucru: aici nu sunt atat de multi pesti ca pe coasta Adriatica. Acolo exista multe plante, fundul marii este stancos, permite formarea unei flore si faune diversificate si bogate, asa ca pestii au din ce alege. Aici, in largul insulelor, oceanul ajunge la 4.000 de m adancime, deci nici urma de plante...Hrana putina se afla doar spre tarm, acolo unde de fapt se si pescuieste. Intr-un final s-au strans de o masa buna de peste, dar oricum departe de ce am visat eu...Plus ca balanga-balanga a barcii a facut ceva rau prin grup...Miscarea aceea lina, dintr-o parte in alta, leganatul valurilor, pentru cineva neobisnuit cu asta, nu aduce nimic bun...

Asa ca pentru unii a fost o experienta excelenta, pentru altii un...vis urat. Acestia din urma abia au asteptat sa se termine cele 4 ore si sa ne intoarcem la mal...Mi-a parut tare rau pentru ei, mai ales ca am vazut ca au prins si un pic de fobie de mers pe mare...
Cei norocosi au mancat pestele prins, au fost foarte incantati sa se bucure de prada lor...Pregatita excelent la restaurant, cu cartofi, manioc si sos de usturoi...

Dupa o zi cu leganat pe valuri, plimbare si apoi zbor spre alta insula, o binemeritata noapte...Petrecuta pe malul oceanului, intr-un hotel modern, cu sea-view...Iar dimineata gata de pornit a cunoaste si Terceira. Eu am fost mai matinal, trebuia pregatita ziua urmatoare, cea de traversare a oceanului, intre insula Terceira si Pico. Asa ca am luat-o usor spre port:

Algar do Carvao. Coborand in grota, ai ocazia sa vezi cum arata un crater vulcanic...Nu era inca deschis, doar dupa amiaza au program de vizitare, asa ca am facut o plimbare in jur. Urma sa revenim dupa amiaza, la drumul de intoarcere spre hotel.

Ambarcatiunea cu care urma sa trecem maine pe Pico se odihnea in port. Avea drum lung de facut pana acolo. La fel si noi!

A venit si ziua traversarii oceanului. Intre Terceira, Angra do Heroisimo si Madalena, capitala insulei Pico sunt in jur de 5 ore de navigat. Timpul trece repede daca este frumos, nu sunt valuri si poti urmari balenele, delfinii, sa te bucuri de peisaje. Daca insa sunt ceva valuri si vant, este un pic mai greu. Ambarcatiunea cu care trecem noi este o salupa de whale watching, are 16 locuri, din care 4 sunt echipaj. Nu are dimensiuni mari, dar are un spatiu interior, o mica sufragerie in care incap cca 6 persoane si o punte superioara pentru care trebuie sa fi bine imbracat pentru vant. De acolo de sus privelistea este minunata, vezi tot, absolut tot. Norocul nostru in aceasta calatorie a fost prezenta lui Joao Medeiro, biolog marin, care ne-a explicat o multime de lucruri...Si care a ridicat continuu moralul celor care asteptau cu nerabdare sa se termine drumul: "inca o ora"... :)

Sus pe munte nu am putut vedea lacurile dulci. Ar fi fost minunat, dar nu a fost sa fie. O pacla deasa era asternuta peste tot si fara sistem de navigatie nu as fi reusit sa ajunga la drum...De urcat pe platforma apropiata de cei 2365 m ai varfului Pico nici nu s-a pus problema. Eram si in intarziere si nu se vedea nimic, asa ca ne-am intors spre Madalena, recunosc destul de dezamagit ca nu am putut sa arat ceea ce as fi vrut...Pe drum insa, pacla a fost tot mai rara si mai rara si cand am privit in stanga, varful Pico isi dezvaluia intreaga silueta...Minunat!!! Mi-am facut cruce si am multumit ca ni s-a oferit aceasta sansa! Incredibil de frumos. Am coborat, am pozat, si am plecat multumiti...Un cadou, cand nu mai credeam sa avem aceasta sansa...

Dimineata imbarcarea in microbuz de data asta nu sa vizitam ci sa mergem la aeroport. Cursa de 2 ore si jumatate pana la Lisabona, apoi planuisem sa lasam bagajele si sa facem o vizita in Oriente: Oceanarium si...mall-ul Vasco Da Gama. Doar ca un aeroport ca Lisabona isi permite (uite ca si la altii se intampla) sa inchida biroul de primiri temporare de bagaje pt ca...este defect soft-ul...Sa cazi din picioare si alta nu...asa ca am luat un taxi, am haladuit pret de o jumatate de ora prin Lisabona pana am gasit in Apollonia cusete libere. Tocmai se eliberasera...Ne-am intors apoi cu metroul in Oriente si o parte a intrat la Oceanarium, cealalta, adica eu, la mall...

Asta a fost povestea celor 10 zile petrecute acolo la multi kilometri de casa. Pe un taram cu totul si cu totul special, un loc pe care il iubesc mult! Pe curand Azore, ne revedem la anul!

Din 2015, de cand am vizitat pentru prima data Portugalia, tot cu Singles Camp, mi-au placut caldura si ospitalitatea portughezilor.
Printr-un curaj imens si maiestrie in navigatie, oamenii din acesta tara au dovedit ca pamantul e rotund, au facut harti si tabele astronomice, au patruns in regiuni locuite de salbatici si au descoperit multe alte destinatii exotice. Gratie flotei agile de caravelas a lui Henry Navigatorul, inspirate din vasele de transportat marfa de pe raul Douro, au pornit in expeditii folosind nou descoperitele arhipelaguri Azore si Madeira, ca locuri de escala pentru traversarile peste Atlantic.
In 1960 la comemorarea a 500 de ani de la moartea infantelui Henry, principala forta din spatele descoperirilor de peste mari, s-a construit Monumentul Parintilor descoperitori, aflat pe malul raului Tejo. Monumentul are forma de caravela si este decorat cu motive specifice si 34 de statui care ii reprezinta pe cei care au avut un rol important in istoria si cultura Portugaliei

In fata monumentului este o uriasa Roza a vanturilor din marmura, oferita in dar de Africa de Sud

Un alt punct de atractie, de aceasta data gastronomic e Pasteis de Belem, o ceainarie, un loc intortocheat cu ziduri acoperite de azulejos tot timpul aglomerat, dar cu niste tarte fooaaarte gustoase, din retetele secrete ale calugarilor. Se spune ca acestia isi apretau hainele folosind albusul de ou, ramanandu-le foarte multe galbenusuri disponbile si astfel au inventat pasteis de Nata, prezente peste tot in excursia noastra: la micul dejun, in aeroport, in avion, la cofetarii si probabil oriunde sunt portughezi.
